How to Solve Servo Alarm 32 & 35

Attention:

As the voltage of DC bus is more than 500 volts, and the inverter capacitor discharge also take some time. So please be very careful while doing inverter-related operation.

Alarm principle:

Encoder feedback failure.

Analysis:

  1. Encoder feedback cable loose or broken at the joints. (occasional)
  2. Encoder feedback card in the KEB failed. ( less possibility)
  3. Encoder failure. (occasional)

Treatment:

  1. Check the encoder feed back cable and its interfaces, to see if it is loose or broken. 

Turn off the main power, examine the interfaces on the both end of motor and inverter to see if it is loose or open circuit. If the cable if open circuit, please weld the wire back. If the cable is OK, please re-install the interfaces. Re-start the machine to see if the alarm is eliminated. See the following pictures.

2. Check the DC fuse to see if it is burned.
Check the DC fuse to see if it is burned. If the DC fuses have been burned, the controller will give out the historical alarm saved in KEB parameter IN24, in other word, this alarm is an illusion. In this case, there are two ways to inspect.
(As the voltage of DC bus is more than 500 volts, and the inverter capacitor discharge also take some time. So please be very careful while doing inverter-related operation.)
First, measure the resistance of the corresponding fuses, (the two connected with wires numbered 21,21 is fuses for charge unit, and 31, 32 is for mold unit, 41,42 is for ejector unit.)


If the fuses burned, replace the fuses after confirm there are no other short circuit.
Second, login the 5 level, go to the KEB parameter page, turn on the motor and observe the value of “Ru00”, if it is “15”, then it is real alarm NO.15. If it is “2” or “13”, then it is the fuse problem, the alarm is just an illusion. Replace the fuses after confirm there are no other short circuit.

 

3. Check the encoder to see if it is encoder problem.
Login the 5 lever, go to the KEB parameter page, and input “1025” in the “parameter Nr.” Turn on the update light, and read the “parameter value”.


If the value is less than “100”, then it means generally it is the feedback cable or encoder card failure, need to examine the cable or replace then encoder card. If the values if bigger then “100”, then it is the encoder failure. Need to replace the encoder.
If it is need to replace the encoder, please see the instruction “How to replace an encoder in GK series motor.”
After replace the encoder, it is need to re-search the “motor reference” and “mechanical zero position”, please see the instructions “How to replace a motor”.
